At Street Bidder LLC, d/b/a SendJim and its affiliates (“SendJim,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), we value our relationship with you and place great importance on respecting and protecting your privacy. We want you to feel comfortable and confident when using our products and services and with entrusting your personal, company and financial information to us.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information. It applies to sendjim.com, members.sendjim.com, and our related mobile sites and applications (the “Site”), and to the products and services we provide (the “Services”), including the products marketed as SendJim, Service Moxie, Revenue Buddy, Automate Motivate, Every Door Direct Mail, Ringless Voicemail, and the Review Management Services). It does not apply to a third-party website or service that we link to or integrate with, each of which has its own privacy policy. By using our products and services you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
As the paragraphs below describe, we may collect personally identifiable information for you as well as your customers. This Statement of Privacy uses “you” to mean the person or business that visits our site or uses our products and services, and “your customers” to mean the individuals your business serves and about whom you give us information. We handle the two in different capacities, and which capacity applies determines who decides what happens to the information.
When you visit our site, ask about our products and services, create an account, subscribe, or contact us, we handle the information you give us for our own purposes. The sections that follow describe those practices, except where a section says otherwise.
You upload to our products and services, and generate through those products and services, information about your customers so that we can send mail, messages, and review requests on your behalf. We handle that information on your behalf and at your direction. We do not use it to market our own products and services to your customers, and we do not sell it. You decide what is sent to your customers and who receives it.
A person who receives a postcard, a text message, or a review request sent through our products and services should contact the business named in that communication. That business, not Street Bidder LLC, holds the relationship with that person and decides what is sent to them, including whether to stop sending it.
In order to better provide you with products and services, we may collect personally identifiable information for you as well as your customers.
If you purchase our products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the initial purchase transaction as well as follow-on purchases.
You may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services available on the Site. These may include:
We will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us.
In addition, we may collect information for the purposes of improving the products and Services we offer. This may include your internet and network activity while visiting the Site, your IP address and geolocation data, your browser type, and other information you may submit. We use Hotjar and similar behavior tracking services to track user behavior in an effort to make our services better.
We collect and use your personal information for four primary purposes:
This section is about reviews left by your customers, and about the information we collect from them on your behalf. It applies where you use our review tools to ask your customers to leave a review.
Where you use our review tools, we collect on your behalf the text of the review, the rating, any photograph submitted with it, the name or other identifier the reviewer gives, the reviewer’s city and state, and whether the reviewer gave permission for the review to be used in your advertising. We make that information available to you.
A review request is sent in your name, and identifies you as the business asking for it. You decide who receives a request and when. Leaving a review is voluntary. Neither you nor we may condition a review request, or any incentive, on what the review says. Where a request asks the reviewer to post a review on Google or another public review platform, the review posted there is held by that platform, and that platform’s own privacy policy and content policies govern it rather than this Statement of Privacy.
You may ask us to reproduce a review we collected on your behalf in your advertising, including on printed postcards mailed to other households in the area. We will reproduce a reviewer’s name, initials, photograph, or other identifying detail in that advertising only where the reviewer gave permission at the point of collection, through a clear and separate disclosure we present when the review is collected, stating that the review and those details may be used in your advertising, including in printed mail sent to other households. Where the reviewer did not give that permission, we reproduce the text of the review and the rating only, with nothing that identifies the reviewer. We keep a record of the permission.
A reviewer may withdraw that permission at any time, by contacting you or by contacting us at the address at the end of this Statement of Privacy. If a reviewer withdraws permission by contacting you, you must promptly notify us and provide the identity of the withdrawing reviewer and such other information as we may require so that we can process the withdrawal. Within ten (10) business days we will stop using that review in materials that have not yet been produced. We cannot recall materials that have already been printed or handed to a mail carrier.
We do not sell, rent or lease personal information to third parties.
We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. Street Bidder LLC may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Street Bidder LLC, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
Street Bidder LLC may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Street Bidder LLC or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Street Bidder LLC; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Street Bidder LLC, or the public.
We may use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you register with or personalize pages on the Site, a cookie helps us recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same page on the Site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the features that you customized.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Site. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, we do not currently respond to them. Our site may contain links to third-party websites we do not control; this Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy notices.
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. When sensitive personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.
We strive to take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed.
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of eighteen. No one under the age of eighteen may use the Site.
